You know what’s kind of beautiful?
In French, you don’t really say “I miss you.” You say “tu me manques,” which is closer to “you are missing from me.”
I love that. “You are missing from me.” You are a part of me, you are essential to my being. You are like a limb, or an organ, or blood. I cannot function without you.

Today Ted and Rebecca said the best thing to me
“you see here’s the problem with you engineering students. You don’t understand that yes, you may just be an average engineering student. But being an average engineering student means you are an outstanding university student. You are a part of the 1% of engineers. 1%! There is nothing average about that”
Seriously made my day. I had never looked at my situation in that manner.
I should really go to bed
I have training tomorrow. And I have to pack and leave the place I’m house sitting at before I leave to training. After training I have a meeting. After the meeting I have a hair appointment. After that I have a shopping date with my best friend. Then I have to un pack and repack.
Saturday I have to shop with Ted until move-in which is at 2. Then counselor bonding time begins….
Before you know it, it’s Sunday. And the first day of camps! Which I am really excited about. Can’t wait.
But really, I should go to bed.
